Hold your own Big Conversation!
The Big Conversation for Social Work, a sector-wide listening exercise led by BASW, is supporting social workers around the UK to facilitate their own conversations about their ambitions for BASW and what they want the future of our profession to look like.
Many professionals have completed BASW’s social work survey, providing a valuable insight into the experiences, challenges and opportunities facing social workers around the country. Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far.
Now, we want to build on this momentum and offer you the chance to hold your own discussions with colleagues and feedback your views with us.
To support this initiative, we have developed a free resource pack to help you to create your own safe space for colleagues to contribute to The Big Conversation throughout January and February.
Whether it’s hearing what’s important to you and your practice, how BASW can improve our offer to you, or sharing your vision for the future of the social work profession, we want to know about it! Even if you’ve already completed the survey, you can still take part in discussions with colleagues and feedback your views to us through the QR code in the resource pack.
The Big Conversation is open to everyone within the social work profession in the UK, including both current BASW members and non-members, and those from all career stages and pathways, including students, newly qualified, independents, practice educators, managers, leaders, and more!
Your feedback, however big or small, is pivotal if we are to build the modern, dynamic professional association that represents you and is delivering for your profession.
We’re excited to hear your ideas!
