The survey is anonymous and closes on 12 April 2019

Why it is important to get involved

Social Work England will be the new, specialist regulator for social workers in England. SWE will be an independent public protection body, setting professional, education and training standards for social workers – replacing the current regulator, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in 2019.

Rules underpin regulation and those included in the consultation are based on the legislation that was passed to establish Social Work England. The rules outline what social workers can expect from SWE in relation to registration, fitness to practice, and education and training assurance processes. They set out what SWE will do in their day to day practice of regulation; are designed to promote collaboration with social workers and education and training providers; and to ensure SWE are fair, agile and transparent in all that they do.
